Location: Travel in UK, Europe, USA and Asia Pacific (likely to be extensive), otherwise located at The Jeffreys Building, St John’s Innovation Park, Cowley Road, Cambridge, UK CB4 0WS. Working from home, with regular attendance at the office in Cambridge, is a possibility.
Responsible to: Commercial Director, Endomag.
Key working relationships: Endomag CEO, COO, CTO; Surgeons, Radiologists and other hospital employees; Distributors in UK, EMEA, USA and Asia Pacific.

Endomag is at a key point in our short history. We now have all of our core products (Sentimag®, Magseed, and Magtrace®) approved in all of our territories, strong supporting clinical evidence demonstrating efficacy of the range, and a solid installed base of routine users from which to grow. We are entering an aggressive growth stage and are in need of highly motivated Product Specialists to join the team and dramatically increase our global installed base.
Specification:
As a key member of the Commercial team, the Product Specialist will report to the Commercial Director and will assume the “Expert” role in liaising with distributors in EMEA, USA and Asia Pacific, supporting customers in the field. The position will involve a significant amount of travel within the UK and Europe and may expand to include North America and Australia, but will also require attendance at the company HQ in Cambridge, UK. Relocation would be available.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Become the product, clinical and application expert for the product range, and support distributors and customers in all aspects of its use.
To acquire and then maintain personal clinical & technical knowledge of breast cancer and the diagnostic procedures and therapies use in treating it, to the highest standard expected of an 'Expert'.
Educate physicians on the use and application of our products, ensuring that they’re prepared to use them correctly.
Attend the initial procedures at new sites, depending on customer expertise as determined by the sales person and surgeon.
Train all relevant members of the distributor sales teams to an appropriate level of understanding of the whole product range and associated marketing messages.
Provide input to customer segmentation, competitor analysis and product positioning.
Required Skills & Competencies
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business, Engineering, or equivalent
In-depth healthcare industry knowledge with a minimum of 5 years’ MedTech sales or marketing.
Ability to read, digest, evaluate, and communicate technical information (eg. academic papers) quickly and competently
High level of understanding of human physiology and surgical procedures
Experience within the operating room / theatre environment
Able to demonstrate sound business acumen
Excellent interpersonal skills (confident and tactful), particularly when communicating cross-culturally
Strong presentation skills – ability to speak to individuals, small groups and larger audiences with varying skillsets
Strong written communication skills with experience of creating training materials/presentations, commitment to adhering to brand guidelines
Creative and inventive problem solver but focussed on quality and good practice
Ability to adapt easily to a changing work environment
Highly organised, with the ability to multitask and triage as needed
High levels of loyalty, integrity and dependability
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft and Mac applications
Desirable Skills
Experience within the breast oncology
Experience within oncology
Experience of extensive UK, European, and/or international business travel
Experience with supporting educational events, clinical sessions, clinical trials, or post-marketing studies.
Identify and manage KOL relationships and ensure timely exposure to Endomag’s product development and upgrades.
Potential backgrounds of the candidate would include:
Experience (minimum 5 years) as a Sales Representative or Clinical, Application or Product specialist for a highly technical medical device company, with direct surgeon contact during operating procedures.
A self-starting individual able to create their own priorities, manage the challenges of working with experienced surgeons and is used to UK, European, or and international travel.
