Operations Manager
To meet the company’s growth plans, Endomag are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to play a critical role in our Product Engineering Team.
Endomag is a virtual manufacturer and the job holder will have responsibility for all aspects of operational and logistical activities. These will include the planning and ordering of all product and key intermediates, co-ordination of secondary territory-specific packaging, oversight of all worldwide shipping and distribution, co-ordination of product repair activity, and order generation and invoicing.
Given the virtual manufacturer nature of Endomag, a necessary part of this role will involve supply chain interaction, ensuring that suppliers continue to deliver product to acceptable quality standards and tracking of products with customers (sometimes via distribution partners) where it relates to performance, product quality and post-market surveillance.
Vacancy Details
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a leader and mentor of the Operations team. Define and set strategic organisational goals in collaboration with COO, Management Team and in alignment with company strategy
- Plan and order all product and key intermediates to meet customer requirements and forecasts, and management of all inventory
- Manage all worldwide shipping to distributors and/or customers to fully meet requirements. Where necessary, set up local logistics support
- Risk assess the supply chain and ensure relevant mitigating actions are implemented to reduce supply risk to our customers
- Co-ordination of all product repair activity, including management of loaner products
- Work with Product Engineering and QA team to assure quality products and processes from virtual supply chain and to trend and understand failure modes
- Purchase order and invoicing control to all customers
- Improve Supply Chain efficiency
- Ensure activities meet with, and integrate, with organisational requirements for health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies and general duty of care
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent in Operations Management, physics/engineering or Business field.
- Qualifications relevant to Operational Management
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in Operational Management, ideally in medical devices or pharma
- A proven track record of setting up international supply chains and distribution channels
- Excellent IT skills (MS Office)
