Web developer

As part of a rapidly growing company with operations globally, our website and online presence are key ways to present our business. In this role, you will begin by supporting the current website (WordPress, React/Gatsby, Heroku, Netlify) and facilitate the transfer of information from external support to in-house.

Once you have established an understanding of the ongoing business needs as it scales-up, you will lead the development of a new website, working closely with the Marketing Manager and rest of the marketing team to work on designs with an external design agency, and deliver an industry-leading website at within an appropriate time-frame. This will then be managed and improved upon as part of continuous work.




  • Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling
  • Work with external designers to match visual design intent
  • Able to work within the WordPress framework to support current website
  • Able to build a full website and/or webpages using best web development practices, integrating the relevant tools, plug-ins and services to suit the needs of the company
  • Work with the marketing team to decide on the creation of mini-sites/external sites for the company’s domain portfolio.


  • Oversee the management and maintenance of the website, initially
  • Able to work well with external providers and services to ensure various services work as intended
  • Keep documentation, where relevant
  • Maintain security of the website
  • Engage in SEO tactics to broaden the reach and search visibility of the website


  • Degree or equivalent in IT-related discipline preferred but not required
  • Demonstrable experience in web programming
  • Familiarity with a transferrable/well used programming language, e.g. PHP/JS/Python
  • Well written HTML/CSS
  • Knowledge of the latest technologies and techniques to build an industry-leading website
  • Strong organisational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets
  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques
  • A proven self-starter
  • Good communication abilities
  • Methodical and logical approach to tasks
