Magtrace® lymphatic tracer shortlisted as US Prix Galien 'Best Medical Technology' finalist

Best Medical Technology Prix Galien digital award graphic

Our Magtrace® lymphatic tracer and Sentimag® probe were shortlisted in the 'Best Medical Technology' category of the Prix Galien US Awards.

It may not have been a win for us this time, but we’re thrilled to have been a finalist in this year's US Prix Galien awards for our Magtrace® lymphatic tracer and Sentimag® Magnetic Localisation System.

Held at the American Museum of Natural History in Central Park West, New York City, the ceremony was a fantastic recognition of excellence in the development of medicines and medical technologies.

Our entry was shortlisted in the 'Best Medical Technology' category alongside 16 innovative devices. Eventually the winner of our category was Abbott for their FreeStyle® Libre 14 Day Flash Glucose Monitoring System. Their product has really revolutionised the lives for so many people with type one diabetes that we all agree that they were a worthy winner.

In truth, we were honoured to be shortlisted, especially among so many household names like Abbott, Medtronic and Boston Scientific. In just a few short years, we've gone from years of research & development to getting our approvals, to now having seen our technologies being used to help well over 70,000 patients in over 30 countries.

While it wasn't a win for us this time, we're all looking forward to seeing what the next few years have in store. And who knows, there's always next year!
